Anglicanorum Coetibus in Toronto

March 20, 2011

This page represents a group of Anglicans and Roman Catholics in Toronto who hope to establish a parish in Toronto under the terms of the Holy Father’s Apostolic Constitution, Anglicanorum Coetibus.

Watch this space for news, as we work with Archbishop Collins (the Archbishop of Toronto, and the delegate of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith for establishing Anglicanorum Coetibus in Canada) to realize this hope.

Archbishop Collins is hosting a national conference on Anglicanorum Coetibus to take place in Mississauga on 24-26 March.  The Archdiocesan website has a special section dedicated to the Apostolic Constitution.  Information on the conference program and registration is available at:

The Archdiocesan website also contains an outline for the process towards establishing the Ordinariate in Canada:

Following the conference, the Toronto group hopes to initiate Sunday gatherings where Anglicans can gather to study the Apostolic Constitution, the Catechsim of the Catholic Church, and discern in community whether God is calling them to full unity in the Catholic Church.  We are in discussion with Archbishop Collins as to a suitable location where we can gather on Sundays for discussion, fellowship and Evening Prayer.

Watch this space for MORE TO FOLLOW.  In the meantime, other news and information is available at:
