The Toronto Group Gathers

April 10, 2011

Anyone interested in exploring Anglicanorum Coetibus is invited to gather on Sunday afternoons for fellowship, discussion, and Evening Prayer.

Starting on Sunday 1 May, we will meet weekly on Sunday afternoons, 2 – 4 pm at the Newman Centre (89 St George Street, Toronto).  We are grateful for the generosity and hospitality of Fr Michael Machacek, the pastor of the Newman Centre.

Anyone is welcome, who wishes to join us in a spirit of reconciliation and friendship:  Anglicans who have decided to enter the Catholic Church through the Ordinariate; Roman Catholics who are former Anglicans, who wish to recover their patrimony as members of the Ordinariate; Anglicans who may not be ready to become Catholic, but who wish to explore and discern; and anyone who is curious and has questions.

Families with children are likewise most welcome.  Child care will be available.

Asking the intercession of Our Lady and Blessed John Henry Newman, we seek to develop a community of people who wish to journey together into the Catholic Church, along with those who are already members the Catholic Church, and those who wish to discern, in community, the truth of Christ and his will for them.  In this unique community we hope to respond together to Jesus’ prayer, “that they may all be one, as you, Father, are in me and I in you, that they also may be in us, that the world may believe that you sent me” (John 17:21).
